Master Chef CHMX: Cooking in Community

Following our recent Health Week and as part of the World Food Day celebration, we enjoyed a delicious and heartwarming experience: Master Chef CHMX: Cooking in Community, where our moms and dads cooked healthy dishes for our students.
The best part? Some of those dishes will now become part of the official Christel House Mexico menu.

The rules were simple but meaningful: dishes had to be healthy —no fried or breaded food— and include at least two or three vegetables, combining protein, grains, legumes, fruit, seeds, or nuts.

We received over 90 recipes, each one filled with creativity, color, and care. Six made it to the grand finale, where a jury made up of team members from Finance, Operations, Teaching, and our Food Services area evaluated taste, texture, presentation, cost, practicality, creativity, and originality.

The outcome was inspiring: three new delicious and nutritious dishes that will now be part of the official menu, plus a special mention for another recipe that completely won the judges over.

During the event, members of the Student Council and group leaders joined as witnesses to this beautiful gathering of families, food, and community. In the end, they also got to taste the participating dishes, celebrating together the joy of food made with purpose.

More than just a contest, it was a celebration of community, where families became partners in our mission: to nourish in order to transform.

Now, with four new dishes added to our menu, we’re confident that each one meets what truly matters: being balanced, nutritious, and —above all— delicious. Congratulations to all participants!

And to ensure that every meal our students receive meets the highest standards, the Christel House Mexico cafeteria proudly holds the “Distintivo H” certification, granted by Mexico’s Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR) and Ministry of Health.

This prestigious certification guarantees that establishments follow strict practices in food handling, storage, preparation, and sanitation.
We are the only school in the entire country to hold this certification, which reinforces our promise to provide our students with a safe, nutritious, and hygienic dining environment, reflecting our unwavering commitment to their health and overall well-being.

Because at Christel House, there’s no place for hunger —
only for dreams.
